Wikus Pretorius

Wikus Pretorius has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Wikus started their career as a Quality Controller at ALEC, where they conducted continuity testing of instrument cables on a Petro Chemical plant. Wikus then worked as a PC Assembler at Sahara Computers, where they assembled and performed quality control on PCs and laptops.

Moving forward, Wikus worked as an IT Support Technician at Mycomax>> Pty Ltd, providing telephone support on hardware and software and handling stock ordering and computer building.

Wikus then joined Itec Southern Africa as a Senior Technician, responsible for the installation and configuration of various VoIP and broadband equipment, as well as on-site support for over 300 customers. From there, they transitioned to the role of Service Manager - Telecoms at Itec Southern Africa, where they led and managed the PABX and Voice & Data teams, handled customer queries, supported engineers on site, and provided monthly service reports.

Wikus then worked at Vox Telecom as a LAN Administrator, managing LAN infrastructure, and later as a VoIP Product Specialist, specializing in VoIP products.

Wikus then joined AVOXI as a Sales Engineer, collaborating with the sales team, participating in discovery calls, and providing pre-sales support. Wikus was later promoted to the role of Senior Account Manager.

Returning to AVOXI, Wikus held various roles, including Solution Specialist/Team Lead, Smart Queue Service Delivery Coordinator, and Installations Supervisor, where they supervised and led installers and oversaw the installation processes.

Currently, they are serving as the Director of Global Support at AVOXI.

Wikus Pretorius completed their Matric at HTS Klerksdorp from 1996 to 2000. In 2002, they obtained an ITE Diploma in Computer Engineering from CTI Potchefstroom. In 2014, they participated in an ITIL Foundation program at Torque IT. In 2015, they completed the ITIL Service Operations program at the same institution.
