Michelle North

Michelle North has a strong background in finance and leadership roles. Michelle is currently working as the Financial Director at Avroy Shlain Cosmetics. Prior to this, they served as the Group CFO at JB Group from 2021 to 2023. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Group Chief Financial Officer at Africa Arbitrage Company - Holding Company. Michelle has also held key positions such as Chief Financial Officer - Retail at BUSBY from 2015 to 2019, and Chief Financial Officer - Contract at Bakos Brothers in 2014. Michelle has experience in overseeing financial management and reporting, tax functions, and budget processes. Michelle also successfully completed a CA (SA) program at SAICA in 1997, further enhancing their accounting skills. Later, from 2004 to 2008, they attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing & Languages.
