Angus Wells

Angus Wells has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Angus is currently the Head of Direct Asset Oversight and Enhancement at Aware Super since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Partners in Performance as a Partner from 2017 to 2021 and as an Associate Principal from 2012 to 2017. Angus also held the position of Senior Manager at Stockland Group from 2009 to 2011 and Principal at Stevella Capital from 2002 to 2009. Angus started their career at Bain & Company as a Senior Associate from 1999 to 2002. Angus also worked as a Senior Lawyer at Angel Trains Group in 1998, Lawyer at Herbert Smith in 1997, and Lawyer at Minter Ellison from 1995 to 1997.

Angus Wells has a diverse educational background. Angus began their education with a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney, which they pursued from 1989 to 1991. In the same period, they were also awarded the Mitsui Education Foundation Scholarship from Mitsui & Co. Furthermore, from 1989 to 1993, Angus pursued a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.

Following this, Angus briefly attended Minter Ellison in 1993, where they were awarded the Minter Ellison Prize for Intellectual Property Law. Later, they went on to complete their education at the University of Sydney, earning a Master's degree in International Security from 2009 to 2014.

Before their university education, Angus completed their Higher School Certificate at Newington College from 1981 to 1988.
