Belinda Berwind Phr

Belinda Berwind, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human resources. Belinda is currently serving as the Human Resources Director at AWE, a position they have held since September 2021.

Prior to their current role, Belinda founded Newfangled HR (NHR) in 2017, where they served as the Founder & Chief People Strategist. NHR specializes in providing HR consulting services to small- to mid-sized companies, addressing their HR needs and challenges.

From 2018 to 2021, Belinda worked as an HR Business Partner at Piramal Pharma Solutions. In this role, they led and managed various HR activities including employee relations, labor relations, benefits, compensation, and staffing. Belinda actively sought out best practices and implemented them within the organization.

Before joining Piramal Pharma Solutions, Belinda was the Talent & Development Manager at Omni Cable from 2016 to 2018. Omni Cable is a master distributor of specialty wire and cable, and Belinda played a key role in managing talent and development initiatives.

In 2015, Belinda worked as an HR Manager at Scala, a provider of digital signage software. Belinda was hired as an HR Change Agent during a corporate restructuring to improve company morale and employee relations. Belinda assessed and revised HR policies and processes during their tenure.

Belinda's earlier work experience includes roles at Automated Financial Systems, Inc. (AFS), a financial services firm, where they served as a Senior Human Resources Generalist from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they held positions as an Associate HR Generalist and HR Assistant at AFS from 2008 to 2011.

Throughout their career, Belinda has demonstrated expertise in various HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, HR policy development, and HR consulting.

Belinda Berwind, PHR, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Villanova University. Belinda also obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management and Services from the same institution. Additionally, Belinda has completed a program in Strategic Human Resources Leadership at Cornell University.

In terms of certifications, Belinda holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) from G&W Laboratories, obtained in October 2019. Belinda also earned the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in November 2015 and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) designation from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2014.
