Liam Whelan BSc EngTech MIET is an experienced project manager and assurance manager with a background in communications and information systems. Currently holding the position of Project Assurance Manager at AWE since November 2023, Liam previously served as Project Manager at Flowbird Transport Intelligence from August 2022 to April 2023, leading a significant SaaS migration for a £37m city transport transformation program. Prior to that role, Liam worked as Project Implementation Manager at DXC Technology, contributing to a secure IT transformation project valued over £100m for MOD establishments. Liam's extensive experience spans from serving in the Royal Marines for 17 years, where multiple senior engineering and management roles were held, to a solid educational foundation in electronic systems engineering and electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Portsmouth and other institutions.
