Mariya Kasiyanyk

Mariya Kasiyanyk is a dedicated research assistant at Weill Cornell Medicine, focusing on the role of miRNA in prostate cancer proliferation. With extensive experience in both clinical and educational settings, Mariya has served as a family practitioner shadow under Dr. Surender Gorukanti, assisted as a wound care intern at Ditmas Park Care Center, and provided clerical support as an administrative assistant at All Heart Homecare Agency. Additionally, Mariya has engaged in mentoring and tutoring physics students at Hunter College and has contributed to the Association for Women in Science as a secretary. Mariya holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Hunter College and has previously volunteered at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
