Joe Spencer

Joe Spencer has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Starting their career as a Naval Officer in the US Navy, they had progressive tours in the Surface Warfare and Naval Aviation communities. However, due to a medical issue, they transitioned to civilian life.

Following their time in the Navy, Joe worked as a Consultant at Sprint and later as a Senior Consultant at RSM McGladrey. Joe then joined Tollgrade Communications as a Sales Manager and played a key role in growing the company's sales. Moving on, Joe served as a Business Development (Sales) Manager at Reachview, where they successfully developed the Midwest region and contributed to the company's acquisition by Alcatel-Lucent.

At Alcatel-Lucent, Joe held various roles, including Account Manager and Account Director. During their tenure, they managed strategic accounts and played a vital role in expanding the company's services. Joe continued their career at Osmose, where they served as the Sr. Director of Business Development, Executive Director of Business Development, and Vice President of Strategic Accounts.

Currently, Joe Spencer holds the position of Vice President of Business Development at AWP Safety, where they continue to utilize their expertise and experience in driving business growth and development.

Joe Spencer earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy from 1989 to 1992. Joe Spencer also attended Rockhurst High School from 1984 to 1988.
