María García has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. María started their career as a research assistant at the Instituto de Agroquímica y Tecnología de Alimentos where they worked as an intern in the Microbial Ecophysiology group. María then pursued a research assistant position at the Universitat Politècnica de València, focusing on biosensors. In 2011, María completed an internship at the R+D Projects Department of Sistemas Genómicos. María also worked as a student aid at the University of Copenhagen from 2011 to 2012.
María joined Novartis in 2013 as a trainee in bioinformatics, specifically in the Integrated Biologics Profiling division. Following that, they became a trainee at the Research, Development and Innovation in Health Service of Generalitat Valenciana. From 2015 onwards, María worked at AWSensors, starting as a sales account manager. María later transitioned to the role of an application scientist, before becoming the Chief Commercial Officer in September 2021.
María García received a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 2005 to 2010. María then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Valencia from 2009 to 2012. María furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from Coursera Verified Certificates in April 2015.

AWSensors designs, develops and commercializes instrumentation for characterization of acoustic resonators used as sensors in bio-technological and electrochemical monitoring applications. These designs are based on their different patented systems. AWSensors markets QCM, HFF-QCM and SAW-LOVE sensors in specially designed supports adapted tospecific flow cells for different applications in both liquid and gas. Different categories of instruments are available depending on the user needs. AWSensors develops as well customized cells and sensors according to user needs. Custom developments or integrations with other scientific platforms for third parties are available, including both mechanic and electronic design and implementation.
