K. Scott Merchant

K. Scott Merchant has over 30 years of experience in construction risk engineering, currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Risk Engineering for North America Construction at AXA XL since September 2010. Additionally, Scott holds the position of Vice President and Head of Risk Engineering for North America Construction at XL Catlin, where leadership of the North America Construction Risk Engineering group was established. Prior to these roles, Scott was the Construction Risk Engineering Manager at Zurich Insurance from 2004 to 2010, receiving the 2008 Zurich Risk Engineer of the Year award for exemplary client service in reducing losses and increasing profitability. Earlier in his career, Scott served as Vice President at Real Spec, Inc. Scott holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Construction Engineering from TUC.
