Matthias Gröbner

Matthias Gröbner is an accomplished professional in the field of enterprise architecture and digital transformation, currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Architecture at AXA since 2021. Prior to this role, Matthias was a Managing Partner at Detecon International GmbH from 2013 to 2021, advising insurance companies and banks on the digitalization of their business models. Matthias has also held positions as a Senior Project Manager at Roland Berger, a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, and a Scientific Associate at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, where research focused on optimizing timetabling problems using soft computing techniques. Earlier experience includes a software developer role at ASTRUM IT GmbH, specializing in intelligent algorithms for workforce planning. Matthias holds a Dr.-Ing. and a Dipl.-Inf. in Computer Science, with a minor in Philosophy, from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, complemented by studies at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
