Vibeke Ly

Vibeke Ly is the Head of Group Legal & Compliance at Axactor. Vibeke has over 15 years of experience working in compliance and legal roles for large international companies.

Vibeke started their career as a lawyer for Lindorff, a leading provider of debt collection services in Europe. Vibeke was quickly promoted to Senior Vice President of Group Compliance and Group Legal Counsel, responsible for compliance across the Lindorff Group, which operates in 13 countries with 4400 employees. During their time at Lindorff, they were instrumental in improving the company's corporate governance, including implementing new policies and training programs. Vibeke also strengthened the company's compliance processes in areas such as data privacy, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, and customer service.

In 2017, Vibeke took on the role of Group Data Protection Officer and lawyer for Intrum, a global credit management company present in 23 countries. In this role, they were responsible for implementing GDPR throughout the Intrum Group.

Vibeke is a key enabler in Axactor's IPO processes and has been instrumental in the company's merger with Intrum Justitia and divestment of 4 business units in the Nordic countries. Vibeke is also responsible for the establishment of Axactor's share service center (LBS) in Lithuania and our business in Italy, including acquisitions, bonds, and bank license applications.

Vibeke Ly has a law degree from the University of Bergen (UiB), and they also have a degree in international law from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Vibeke is currently a candidate for a law degree at the University of Oslo (UiO). Vibeke is also a certified lawyer.
