Eva Katharina Schmitt

Eva Katharina Schmitt is an experienced professional in the field of human resources and payroll, currently serving as the EMEA Total Rewards Leader at Axalta since August 2012. Previously, Eva held various roles at Axalta, including Senior Compensation Specialist for EMEA and HR Payroll and Compensation Specialist, focusing on German and Austrian payroll, sales incentive compensation calculation, and internal HR controls. Earlier career experiences include serving as an HR Payroll and Compensation Administrator at the University of Oxford while also working as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist supervising master’s students in Chemistry. Eva's academic background includes a Dr. rer. nat. in Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry from the University of Göttingen, as well as experience as a Research Assistant in biomolecular chemistry in New Zealand and organic chemistry in Germany. Eva is also a Certified Payroll Specialist with expertise in German tax, social security, and labor law for HR payroll processes.
