Lieve Bastin

Lieve Bastin possesses extensive experience in the coatings industry, currently serving as Program Leader in the Global Process Technology Group at Axalta Coating Systems since February 2013, focusing on operational and quality control improvements across 13 production sites. Prior roles at Axalta include Process Technology Leader for the Mechelen site, where Lieve established a scale-up team to bridge development and operations, and Research Supervisor for Dispersions, emphasizing quality and margin enhancements after the company's change in ownership. Lieve began a career at DuPont Performance Coatings in various roles from 2001 to 2013, leading dispersion teams and formulating pigment dispersions. Earlier experience includes a post-doctoral position at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, supporting research initiatives. Lieve earned a PhD in Chemistry from KU Leuven, showcasing a strong academic background in the field.
