Martin Stewart

Martin Stewart has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Martin began their career in 1978 as an Accountant and Project Manager at CSR.

In 1985, they worked as a Consultant at CSC/Continuum Canada and Australia, where they developed the Cogen General Insurance System in Cobol.

From 1990 to 1995, Martin served as a Project Manager at Sancha Software Development.

In 1991, they worked as a Consultant at General & Cologne Re.

From 1995 to 1997, Martin was a Project Manager at MMI Group, where they also served as a Consultant on their Corporate Change project. After their departure, MMI Group was absorbed by Allianz.

In 1997, Martin founded AXE Group and became the Director of Strategy. Under their leadership, the company shifted its focus to serve the system needs of insurers, particularly in Life and General Insurance. Martin held the position of Director of Strategy until 2012 when they became the Managing Director, overseeing Axelerator's expansion in the Financial Services industry.

From 2014 to 2015, Martin worked as the VP of Sales at AXE Group, responsible for helping clients become market leaders in Life and General Insurance.

From 2015 to 2021, they served as the Sales Director, finding new clients for AXE Group and servicing existing ones. Martin emphasized the value of Axelerator as the choice product for most insurance applications. In April 2021, Martin assumed the role of Founder and Director at AXE Group.

In 2019, Martin co-founded Propeller Insurance, where they currently serve as the Director of Technology. Martin oversees the implementation of the technology that powers Propeller, which is built on AXE Group's platform Propeller and hosted on Amazon AWS. The system fully automates the entire process of sales and policy management.

Martin Stewart attended The University of Auckland from 1970 to 1973 and obtained a degree in B Com with a focus on Accounting and Law. Martin later attended Victoria University of Wellington in 1973 and received their Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting.
