Barbara Alban

Barbara Alban has extensive experience in technical communication, editing, and educational development spanning several decades. Currently serving as the Secretary and Membership Manager for the Society for Technical Communication - Puget Sound Chapter, Barbara has been instrumental in managing chapter documents and member engagement. As the Owner of Northwest Creative Works, LLC, expertise includes enhancing organizations' written communication and producing technical documents, product collateral, and policies. Previously, positions at Axelerate and Microsoft involved providing high-quality technical editing, writing, and managing content for software communication and information security documents. Leadership roles at T-Mobile USA and AT&T Wireless included overseeing teams dedicated to developing extensive training materials for customer service and sales organizations. Education includes doctoral studies at The George Washington University and a BA & MA from San Francisco State University, focusing on speech communications and social psychology.
