Hengheng Xie

Hengheng Xie has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. They started their career in 2006 as the Director of Computer Department at Guangdong Success PR and Management Consultants Ltd. In 2008, they transitioned to the University of Ottawa where they worked as a Research Assistant and a Teaching Assistant until 2015. During their time at the university, Hengheng Xie focused on multi-path error recovery video streaming on vehicular networks and developed various algorithms and protocols to improve performance.

In 2014, Hengheng Xie joined MicroMetrics as a Software Developer, where they served as the lead of the backend developer team. They worked on various projects until December 2015.

In 2016, Hengheng Xie joined Irdeto as a Web Developer, responsible for architecture design, AWS infrastructure setup, and software design of new features. They later transitioned to the role of Senior Software Developer, where they served as the mobile technical lead, assisting with product roadmap planning and communication with partners. Their tenure at Irdeto lasted until March 2021.

Currently, Hengheng Xie works at Axiad as a Senior Software Engineer. They joined in March 2021 and were recently promoted to the role of Lead Software Engineer, starting in January 2023.

Throughout their career, Hengheng Xie has demonstrated expertise in software development, technical leadership, architecture design, and protocol optimization.

Hengheng Xie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, awarded in the period between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2009, Hengheng pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Hengheng's educational journey began at the Beijing Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Hengheng Xie has obtained certifications in the field of Scrum. They became a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in June 2017, and prior to that, in June 2016, they obtained the certification for Certified Scrum Product Owner from the same institution.
