Becca Senter

Vice President, Head Of R&d at Axial Therapeutics

Becca Senter has a wealth of experience in the field of neuroscience and pharmacology. In 2011, they joined Dr. Jeff Conn's lab at Vanderbilt University as a Graduate Student. Here, they worked in the areas of neuroscience and pharmacology, focusing on understanding the role of metabotropic glutamate receptors in cognition, and how they can be targeted with potential therapeutics for autism spectrum disorders as well as other neurological disorders. In 2015, they moved on to become a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2017, they joined Flexion Therapeutics as a Scientist, Pharmacology and moved up the ranks to Associate Director, Non-Clinical Research and Associate Director, Non-Clinical and Translational Research, before becoming the Director, Nonclinical and Translational Research. In 2022, they became the Senior Director, Head of Preclinical R&D at Axial Therapeutics, Inc.

Becca Senter attended St. Lawrence University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Becca then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology.
