Dan Newman

Dan Newman has a diverse work experience in the design industry. Dan is currently serving as the Head of Design at Axiom since October 2022. Prior to joining Axiom, they worked as a Design Lead at Stedi from 2021 to 2022. From 2017 to 2021, they held the position of Creative Director at Springload. Before that, they served as the Head of Design at Koordinates from 2015 to 2017 and as the Creative Director at Xero from 2012 to 2015. Dan also worked as a Creative Director at Tigerspike from 2010 to 2012. Dan started their career as a Designer/Front-end Developer at Flightless from 2007 to 2009. Dan founded their own company, The D.A., in 2004, and worked as a Founder until 2007. Prior to starting their own company, they worked as a freelance Designer from 2001 to 2004.

Dan Newman attended the Whanganui School of Design from 2001 to 2005, where they earned an Honors degree in Computer Graphic Design. Dan then pursued further education and obtained a Masters degree in Computer Graphic Design from The University of Waikato in 2006. In addition, Dan also earned another Masters degree in Interaction Design from the University of Nottingham in the same year. Continuing their studies, they attended the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences in 2006 to pursue another Masters degree in Interaction Design.
