Bhavana Rakesh

Bhavana Rakesh has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Bhavana began their career as a Solaris SAN Engineer at Sun Microsystems in 1999 and worked there until 2002. Following that, they joined NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as a Scientific Applications Developer (Contractor) from 2003 to 2011. In 2012, they joined Science and Technology Corporation (STC) as a Program Manager, where they were responsible for supporting the Nation Weather Service - Office of Science and Technology with program management activities. Bhavana'srole also included co-chairing the Unified Forecast System (UFS) communications and outreach group, designing and building the UFS portal, ensuring technical designs were in compliance with established architectural standards, and providing guidance and support to application developers and technical designers. Bhavana then moved on to Axiom Consultants in 2015, where they currently serve as the CEO.

Bhavana Rakesh attended the Bangalore Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation Technology. Bhavana also has attended The George Washington University and Georgetown University, but no specific degree or field of study information is provided for these institutions.
