Rob Friesen

Vice President Environment at Axiom Exploration Group

Rob Friesen has a diverse work experience in the environmental field. Rob currently holds the position of Vice President Environment at Axiom Exploration Group since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Cameco Corporation from 2011 to 2019, holding various roles including Environment Specialist, Environment Officer, and Environmental Scientist. At Cameco, they were part of a team focused on risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and the application of management systems in the environmental discipline. Rob also provided subject matter expertise in environmental monitoring, data management, and licensing and regulatory initiatives for Cameco's northern Saskatchewan sites. Before their time at Cameco, Rob worked as an Environmental Scientist at Wardrop Engineering in 2008 and again in 2006, and as an Aquatic Biologist at Golder Associates in 2007.

Rob Friesen obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology, with a specialization in General Biology, from the University of Saskatchewan. Rob completed this degree from 1998 to 2003. Following this, Rob pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biology at the same institution, specializing in the field of study of Biology. Rob successfully completed their master's program from 2003 to 2005.
