Axiom Space
Antonio Olmos is a Tools and Flight Support Equipment Associate Engineer and Scrum Master at Axiom Space since July 2023, leading specialty engineering teams within the In-Space Systems division. Previously, Olmos served as a Peer Mentor in the Morrill Engineering Program at The Grainger College of Engineering, advising underrepresented freshmen from September 2021 to May 2023. As a Space Suit Intern at Axiom Space from June to December 2022, important contributions included controlling electro-mechanical actuators and developing controller test rigs. Prior experience includes a Safety and Mission Assurance Internship at NASA's Johnson Space Center, focused on the International Space Station, and tutoring in physics at the Center for Academic Resources in Engineering. Olmos earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2023, following a high school diploma in Engineering from the Advanced Technologies Academy.
