Joel Taylor

Joel Taylor, PhD, currently serves as the Lead Robotic Vision Systems Engineer at Axiom Space since September 2022. Prior to this role, Joel Taylor was a Senior Advanced Optical Design Engineer at Honeywell, focusing on hyperspectral gas cloud imaging systems from May 2021 to September 2022. Joel Taylor also contributed to the development of filtered Rayleigh scattering LiDAR systems at Ophir Corporation as a Physicist and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at Louisiana State University, where significant research was conducted on nonlinear optics and ultrafast spectroscopy. Joel Taylor holds a PhD in Physics with a specialization in Ultrafast Nonlinear Spectroscopy and Condensed Matter from Louisiana State University, where a Bachelor of Science in Physics was also obtained, concentrating on Mechanical Engineering.
