Austin Passaro

Austin Passaro has worked in the life sciences industry since 2014. In 2021, they began their current role as Product Manager, MEA Systems at Axion BioSystems. At Axion BioSystems, they are also Scientist II, External Collaborations and Field Applications Scientist. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Georgia, where they researched neuroinflammation, neurodegenerative diseases, and stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as Laboratory Manager at Aruna Bio, Inc. and from 2014 to 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they researched metabolic disorders with a focus on diabetes.

Austin Passaro attended Virginia Tech from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Austin then continued their education at The University of Georgia, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience in 2021.
