Viswanath Lanka

Field Application Scientist at Axion BioSystems

Viswanath Lanka has worked for several companies and organizations since 2016. In 2016 and 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2020, Lanka was a Graduate Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, a Summer Intern at Fujirebio Diagnostics AB, and a Tour Guide at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. In 2021, they were a Junior Biomedical Engineer at LifeCanvas Technologies Inc. and is currently a Field Application Scientist at Axion BioSystems. During their time at the University of Pittsburgh, Lanka authored a senior thesis, helped develop a new live-cell voltage imaging technique, and explored mouse and frog NMJ behavior. Viswanath was also published in the Journal of Neuroscience.

Viswanath Lanka attended the University of Pittsburgh from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Viswanath then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania from 2019 to 2021.
