Dave Cumberland

Dave Cumberland has a comprehensive work experience in various technology companies. Dave is currently working as the CTO at Axios HQ since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the CTO of Axios from October 2021 to September 2022. Dave also held leadership positions at Pluralsight, where they were the VP of Engineering from March 2021 to December 2021 and the Head of Engineering Services, Developer Productivity from May 2019 to March 2021. Dave worked as the VP Engineering Services at GitPrime from May 2018 to March 2021 and as the VP Engineering at Kibo Commerce from January 2016 to May 2018. Dave had diverse roles at Shopatron, including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Product Officer, VP of Engineering and IT, VP of Systems Engineering, and Engineering Manager, spanning from June 2011 to May 2018. Dave began their career as a Senior Software Engineer/Development Lead at TransUnion Interactive and also worked as a Software Engineer at Learning-Together. Dave's earliest role was in Configuration Management at the Colaborative Agent Design Research Center. Overall, Dave has accumulated extensive experience and expertise in technology leadership and engineering throughout their career.

Dave Cumberland has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science which they obtained from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1998 to 2001. Dave then pursued further education and completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the same university from 2003 to 2005.
