Michael Leland

Michael Leland is an experienced technology executive currently serving as VP, Field CTO at Island since October 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Chief Cybersecurity Evangelist at SentinelOne from May 2021 to October 2024. Michael's extensive career also includes significant roles at McAfee as Chief Technical Strategist and Intel Principal Engineer, focusing on security information and event management (SIEM). Earlier positions include CTO at NitroSecurity, Inc. and Avaya Communications, as well as various security-oriented roles. Michael holds an Honorary MBA in Information Technology from Bentley University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
