Dr. Sonal Sawardekar

Dr. Sonal Sawardekar is an experienced public health professional currently serving as Operations Lead at Axios International since November 2020. Previously, Dr. Sawardekar was a Program Manager with Janseva Pratishthan in Chandrapur, where involvement in the Janseva Elderlycare program led to successful collaboration with the District Health Department and Tata Trusts on a pilot project recognized at the National Innovation Summit 2019. Dr. Sawardekar’s background includes academic research on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome at Tata Institute of Social Sciences and internships focusing on maternal and child health, under-nutrition, and rural health surveillance. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Public Health with a focus on Social Epidemiology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Bachelor's in Dentistry from MGM Dental College.
