Jeffrey Cane

Jeffrey Cane is a deputy managing editor for business at Axios, where they are currently leading coverage in a dynamic newsroom. Previously, Cane served as the finance editor at Insider and as news and features editor at Barron's from 2017 to 2022. Their early career includes roles as an assistant business editor and managing editor for DealBook at The New York Times, where they directed a team of reporters and launched the prominent M&A blog. Cane has also held editorial positions at Conde Nast Portfolio, Thomson Reuters, and Dow Jones Newswires, as well as working as a business copy editor at The Daily News of New York. They earned a BA in English from Columbia University.
