Thomas Vallier is a data scientist with extensive experience in both industry and academia. Currently employed at Axis Communications since February 2020, Thomas previously held a similar position at Apptus Technologies AB from April 2017 to February 2020. Prior to these roles, Thomas worked as a mathematician and statistician at the University of Iceland, focusing on research related to various mathematical models, including applications in finance and biology, from September 2014 to March 2017. Thomas has also contributed to biomathematics research as a research fellow at the University of Helsinki, investigating random structures and networks from September 2011 to December 2013. Thomas earned a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Lund University, where studies were conducted from 2003 to 2008, and has advanced degrees in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and Mathematics from institutions in France.
