Nicola Lomas

Nicola Lomas is a Senior Application Specialist at Axlab since October 2025, with prior experience at Sakura Finetek Europe in a similar role focused on training laboratory staff in histology instrumentation and mentoring colleagues. Before this, Nicola served as a Senior Biomedical Scientist at the University Hospital of North Midlands for over 24 years, specializing in cellular pathology and dissection of various specimens. Nicola holds a Master of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Keele University, a PgCert in Medical Education from the University of Dundee, and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from The Manchester Metropolitan University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from the University of Staffordshire and an NHS Leadership Academy Qualification in Organisational Leadership.
