Arturs Sprogis

Arturs Sprogis has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Arturs is currently the Head of ML Product Development at axle ai, Inc., where they successfully upgraded a face recognition system with additional ML services and led the development of a trainable logo recognition model. Prior to this, they co-founded GraphAML in 2016, a transactional data visualization and analysis platform, and worked as a Co-founder and Software Engineer. Arturs also has experience as a Lead Researcher at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Latvia, where they managed a collaborative research project and developed a BI system. Additionally, Arturs co-founded noscos in 2018, where they served as the Co-founder and CTO, securing funding and leading the implementation of a Google DNI project. Arturs has also worked as a Software Engineer at adevo, implementing a BI system and pitching a face recognition solution before co-founding Noscos. Overall, Arturs has showcased their expertise in machine learning, product development, research, and software engineering throughout their career.

Arturs Sprogis earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate in 2007. Arturs then pursued a Master's degree with honors in Computer Science at the same institution from 2007 to 2009. Following this, Arturs obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate, completing their studies from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their academic degrees, Arturs has obtained several certifications, including a Certificate in Generative AI with Large Language Models from Coursera and a Certificate as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), both in 2023. Other certifications include a Product Manager Nanodegree from Udacity in 2021 and various certifications in machine learning and deep learning from Coursera and Udacity, completed between 2016 and 2018.
