VP of Software Engineering at AXON Networks

Dalei Gu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Beginning in 1991 at SUPCON, they worked as an R&D HW and Embedded Engineer, responsible for system-level design, development, and maintenance of Distributed Computer Control Systems. They then joined HP in 1998 as a Senior Software Engineer, leading projects for handheld PC and Pocket PC development. At Agilent from 2002 to 2004, Dalei set up a new development team and created a Gigabit Ethernet network performance test system as a Principal Software Engineer. From 2004 to 2008, they worked at Motorola as a Software Project Manager, overseeing the development and QA of VoIP enabled Residential Gateways. At Pixelmetrix from 2008 to 2010, Dalei served as an R&D Project Manager, focusing on IPTV measurement and probing system development. They then joined Greenwave Systems Inc in 2010, taking on various roles including Senior Engineering Manager, Senior Director of Embedded Engineering, Executive Director of Software Engineering, and VP of Software Engineering. In these positions, Dalei led the development of smart home solutions, created the AXON Platform for IoT, and scaled the Axon IoT solution for managed residential gateway platforms. Currently, Dalei holds the position of VP of Software Engineering at AXON Networks, where they lead software engineering teams for next-gen high-speed routers and the creation of the Axon Orchestration Platform.

Dalei Gu has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Zhejiang University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. After that, they pursued their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore between 1996 and 1998. Later, they further expanded their education by completing a Master's degree in Software Engineering at the National University of Singapore from 1999 to 2002.
