Jon Carlsen ♾️

Jon Carlsen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jon began their career at the Ministry of the Environment, where they provided IT support for various tasks. Jon then joined Microsoft as a student partner, where they presented and evangelized Microsoft technologies at universities and industry exhibitions.

After that, Jon worked at DONG Energy, where they completed an internship and a Bachelor's project focused on SMS communication. Jon later returned to DONG Energy to work on a master's thesis project, developing a prototype SMS gateway.

Jon then joined Ørsted as a Product Owner, overseeing outsourcing teams and implementing Agile procedures. At DFDS, they held two roles in different departments. As the Head of Department for Development and Platform Experience, they oversaw cloud operations and built components with APIs and events. In their subsequent role as the Head of Department for Customer Experience, they increased productivity, developed architecture, and facilitated competence development.

Moving on, Jon joined Scrive as the VP of Service Operations and CTO of eSignatur. Jon led multiple teams, including Firefighters, QA, DevOps, and e-signature teams, and managed the migration of servers to containers. Jon also played a role in integrating eSignatur into Scrive.com when the companies merged.

Next, Jon joined Lunar as the Director of Technology, focusing on developer and platform experience. Jon implemented cutting-edge technology and designed user-friendly interfaces, streamlined business operations, and conducted market research for growth opportunities.

Most recently, Jon joined AXON Networks as the Director of Engineering for Europe.

Jon Carlsen has a diverse education history that includes both technical and business studies. Jon began their education journey at Øregård Gymnasium, where they completed high school with a focus on mathematics from 1999 to 2002.

In pursuit of their passion for technology, Jon enrolled at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in IT from 2003 to 2008. Building upon this foundation, they continued their studies at DTU and earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from 2008 to 2010.

Recognizing the importance of business knowledge in their career, Jon furthered their education at Copenhagen Business School. From 2012 to 2014, they completed a Diploma Programme in Business Administration, which enhanced their understanding of management principles and general business practices.

In addition to their formal degrees, Jon has also pursued various certifications to broaden their skill set. In 2011, they obtained the IT Akitektur Foundation certification from Dansk IT. The following year, they gained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Mike Cohn, Mountain Goat Software, LLC, and as a Certified SCRUM Product Owner (CSPO) from Mike Cohn and Mountain Goat Software. In 2015, they added the Management 3.0 certification from Robert Kinnerfelt to their accomplishments. Most recently, in 2023, Jon obtained a certification in Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities from LinkedIn.
