Muhammad Qazi

Muhammad Qazi has a diverse work experience in the field of reliability engineering and product development. Muhammad is currently working as a Principal Engineer, Product Reliability at Ayar Labs since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Aeva as a Sr. Staff Reliability Engineer from April 2022 to January 2023. At Aeva, they led reliability and qualification activities, conducted component failure analysis, and drove the quality and reliability of Silicon photonics components and IC for LIDAR applications.

Before joining Aeva, Muhammad worked at Juniper Networks from August 2019 to March 2022. In this role as a Staff Reliability Engineer, they focused on driving the quality and reliability of silicon photonics components and IC. Muhammad also worked as a Sr. Staff Product Engineer at Juniper Networks from May 2018 to August 2019, where they were responsible for product performance characterization, yield improvement, and test robustness evaluation.

Muhammad's career started at Intel Corporation, where they held multiple roles from July 2011 to May 2018. As a Senior Product Engineer, they were involved in the launch of Intel's first Silicon Photonics transceiver product and performed yield analysis. Muhammad also worked as a Low Yield Analysis Engineer, conducting in-depth yield analysis and utilizing statistical process control methods. Additionally, Muhammad worked as a Lithography Engineer, gaining experience in lithographic patterning development and process design for Intel's CMOS nodes.

Overall, Muhammad Qazi has gained significant expertise in product reliability, yield improvement, and lithography in their various roles at Ayar Labs, Aeva, Juniper Networks, and Intel Corporation.

Muhammad Qazi has an extensive education history in the field of Electrical Engineering. Muhammad obtained their PhD from the University of South Carolina from 2006 to 2011. Before that, they completed their Masters in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology from 2004 to 2006. Prior to their Masters, they earned their Bachelors in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the same university from 1998 to 2004. Muhammad Qazi also holds a High School Diploma from Mirzapur Cadet College, which they obtained from 1991 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, such as Python Data Structures, The Data Scientist's Toolbox, and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from Coursera.
