Daniel Myers

VP of Mobile Engineering at Ayla Networks

Daniel Myers has extensive work experience in the technology industry, with a focus on engineering and management roles. Daniel started their career at Nokia, where they served as Director of Software Engineering and later as Director of Security Architecture. At Nokia, they were responsible for delivering core OS software for security appliances and developing a scalable secure management solution.

Myers then joined Palm as Senior Director of Wireless Engineering, where they oversaw software development and testing for smartphone products. Daniel handled various aspects of wireless engineering, including cellular, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi technologies.

Following their time at Palm, Myers joined Oracle as VP of Access Management Engineering, IdM Security. In this role, they provided strategic direction, revamped the management structure, and led the team in developing Fusion Middleware Access Management products. Daniel also expanded the team through hiring and acquisitions, contributing to significant year-on-year returns.

Most recently, Myers worked at Ayla Networks as VP of Mobile Engineering. Daniel was responsible for setting and implementing the direction for the mobile engineering unit within Ayla's IoT platform. Daniel'sresponsibilities included architecture, design, coding, release planning, and customer support.

Throughout their career, Myers has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive high performance within their teams.

Daniel Myers obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Finance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which they attended from 1979 to 1983. Following this, they pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University, completing their studies from 1990 to 1992.
