Fatima Ameer-Mia

Fatima Ameer-Mia has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in the technology, media, telecommunications, and IP sectors. Fatima is currently the Head of Legal at Simfy Africa, a position they have held since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc as a Director from April 2019 to March 2021, and as a Senior Associate in the same firm's Technology, Media, Telecommunications department from August 2015 to March 2019. Fatima also worked at Webber Wentzel where they served as an Associate in the Technology, Media, Telecommunications, and IP practice area from January 2012 to July 2015. Before that, they gained practical experience as a Candidate Attorney at Webber Wentzel from January 2010 to December 2011.

Fatima Ameer-Mia began their education at the University of Cape Town in 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Science (B.Soc.Sci) degree with a focus on Political Thought, Sociology, and Religion. Fatima completed their undergraduate studies in 2006.
