Marga Sanmartin

Marga Sanmartin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in gender equality and program management within the non-profit sector. Currently serving as the AeA Gender Equality Advisor and Deputy Country Director for Mozambique at Ayuda en Acción since October 2018, Marga has also held roles such as Head of East Africa Programs and Impact Manager for East African countries. Prior positions include Program Manager at medicusmundi, Country Coordinator and Program Manager at Médicos del Mundo, and Managing Partner at CEDESO. Marga’s education includes an MBA focused on leadership and empowering young African women, another MBA specializing in leadership and management of sociosanitary services, a qualification as a university expert in drug addiction, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
