Casper Sommeling

Casper Sommeling is a highly qualified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Currently serving as a plastic surgeon at AZ Alma since June 2019, Casper has previously held fellowships in plastic surgery at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery and East Sydney Private Hospital in early 2019. Additional fellowship training includes aesthetic surgery at LA BELLE FORME LTD and facial aesthetic surgery at COUPURE CENTRUM VOOR PLASTISCHE CHIRURGIE in 2018. Prior to these roles, Casper completed residency training in plastic surgery and general surgery at UZ Gent between 2013 and 2018 and gained initial surgical experience as a surgical assistant at Orbis medisch en zorgconcern from 2012 to 2013. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery from Ghent University, along with certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support and laparoscopic surgical skills.
