Kristof de Smet

Kristof De Smet has a diverse work experience in the field of radiology. Kristof is currently a member of the Board of Directors at the Belgian Society of Radiology (BSR). Prior to this, they held multiple roles at RADar Learning & Innovation Centre AZ Delta, including being a member of the RADar Board and the RADar Executive Council. De Smet also served as the MD, Radiologist - Head of Department at AZ Delta and as the Vice Chairman of the Medical Board.

In addition, they have worked as a Radiologist and Clinical Tutor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and as a Radiologist and Clinical Consultant at UZ Brussel. Kristof also had experience at AZ West as a Radiologist and at AZ Sint-Rembert where they held various positions such as Chairman of the Medical Board, Radiologist-in-chief, Head of Division, and Vice Chairman of the Medical Board.

De Smet has further expanded their expertise through their fellowship in Cardiac Radiology at UMC Groningen. Overall, their work experience demonstrates a strong commitment to the field of radiology and a track record of leadership and professional development.

Kristof De Smet completed their education with a Master's degree in Medicine (MD) from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2006. Kristof then pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Healthcare Management and Policy (MSc) with honors, known as "Cum fructu," from KU Leuven in 2009. Finally, De Smet completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Radiology at the University of Groningen in 2010.
