Francky Deleu

Francky Deleu is an accomplished professional in the field of ICT and medical technology, currently serving as Directeur ICT-Medische technologie en Innovatie at AZ Sint-Lucas Gent since March 2025. In this role, Francky leads the digital transformation and technological evolution within the hospital, focusing on the strategic development and implementation of innovative ICT solutions that enhance patient-centered care. Concurrently, Francky has been involved with AZ Jan Palfijn since January 2018, applying over 30 years of experience to develop a strategic vision for the hospital's ICT and facility departments. Earlier experience includes serving as ICT Manager at Jan Yperman Ziekenhuis from November 1983 to February 2018, where Francky assessed the impacts of IT solutions and aligned business processes with IT strategy. Francky holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Open Universiteit and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science from HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen, complemented by education from Vlerick Business School.
