Roger van Riet M.D.

Roger van Riet MD, PhD is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon specializing in elbow surgery with extensive experience in academia and professional organizations. Serving as President and President elect of the Shoulder & Elbow Community (SECEC) since September 2023, Roger maintains active roles at Orthoca and AZ Monica while also contributing as a Guest Professor of orthopedic surgery at Universiteit Antwerpen. With editorial positions at The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Clinics in Orthopedic Surgery, Roger has a strong commitment to research and education, further demonstrated through involvement in the Monica Research Foundation and previous leadership in the SECEC-ESSSE Healthcare Delivery Committee. Roger holds a PhD and MD from the University of Antwerp, as well as a BSc in Physiotherapy.
