Dr. Kyung-Jae Na

Dr. Kyung-Jae Na has an extensive work experience spanning over several years in various positions. Most recently, in 2023, they joined AZAFAROS B.V. as the Head of CMC. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2023, they worked at Biogen as the Biosimilar Partnership Lead, where they led biosimilar production and technical alliance management for Biogen Partner. They also managed TechOps projects to ensure a continuous supply to patients in external manufacturing.

From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Na served as the Director of Manufacturing Management, Biologics & mRNA at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. Before that, they worked at Roche as the Operational Site Manager from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Na also gained experience at Novartis, where they held multiple roles including Product Steward from 2014 to 2016, MRP II Class A Project Manager from 2014 to 2014, and Pharmacist Trainee from 2012 to 2014.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Clinical Science Associate at CtCon in 2011, and as a Trial Coordinator at Schweizerische Arbeitsgemeinschaft für klinische Krebsforschung (SAKK) from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Na also pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Basel from 2003 to 2009, and had a brief trainee position at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 2008.

Dr. Kyung-Jae Na obtained a Diploma in Biochemistry from Bielefeld University between 1997 and 2003. In 2000, Dr. Na also briefly studied Immunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Later, in 2003, Dr. Na completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry at the University of Basel. Additionally, Dr. Na attended New York University in 2002, although no degree was specified for that time period.
