Cristiano MacHado

Cristiano Machado is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at azakaw since March 2021, Cristiano leads the introduction of a cutting-edge anti-money laundering compliance management solution. Previously, Cristiano held the position of CTO at Lidya, where the focus was on facilitating access to financing for small businesses in emerging economies. Prior experience includes serving as CTO at imedical, managing teams to develop software for clinical diagnostic imaging, and working as an IKM Engineer at Siemens Medical Solutions, where responsibilities included HL7 integration and system customization. Early in their career, Cristiano worked as a developer at both Devscope and Microsoft Portugal. Cristiano holds a degree from Instituto Superior Engenharia do Porto, earned between 1999 and 2004.
