Doug Swords is the Co-Founder and VP Revenue Cycle Management at Azalea Health. Doug has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in preventing revenue loss while maximizing revenue potential.
Prior to Azalea Health, Doug was with Doctors Laboratory Valdosta Ga for five years, where they served as Revenue Analyst/AR Supervisor. In this role, they developed, implemented, and conducted audits and competency tests for billing/coding staff, advised medical staff and business office staff on coding and reimbursement issues, organized, tested, and implemented all EDI functions within the finance department, negotiated, prepared, and maintained all insurance managed care contracts, and communicated directly with Provider Relations, EDI, and Network Contracting Specialists.
Doug's experience and expertise have been invaluable in helping to grow Azalea Health into the successful company it is today.
Doug Swords received their Bachelor in Business Administration from Valdosta State University, with a finance focus. Doug also has a certification from the Healthcare Business Management Association (HBMA) as a Certified Healthcare Business Management Executive (CHBME).
Doug Swords reports to Baha Zeidan, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Brad Townsend - CFO, Nathan Shepard - VP, Product, and Khue Tran - VP, Operations.
