Captain Nico Corbijn has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Captain Nico is currently serving as the Head of Marine Operations at Azamara since March 2021. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2021, they founded and owned Reveles Solutions, LLC, a maritime management consulting company in Florida.

In their previous roles, Captain Corbijn held the position of Vice President, Crew Management at MSC Cruises from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for managing a large crew and overseeing a significant budget. Captain Nico also served as the Vice President Fleet Personnel at Norwegian Cruise Line from 2009 to 2015, where they were in charge of crew logistics and HR operations for a fleet of over 20,000 crew members.

Captain Nico has also worked as the Executive Vice President of Operations at Windstar Cruises, overseeing the deck and engine operations of multiple cruise ships. Additionally, Captain Corbijn served as the Commercial Shipping Program Manager at BMT Designers & Planners, responsible for marketing government products and services.

Captain Nico'searlier experience includes various roles at Holland America Line, including Director of Environmental Compliance, Captain, Staff Captain, and Navigation Officer. During their tenure, they implemented environmental compliance plans, developed training programs, and held leadership positions onboard the ships. Overall, Captain Corbijn brings extensive expertise in maritime operations, crew management, strategic planning, and consulting to their current role.

Captain Nico Corbijn has a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation from Maritime Institute "De Ruyter", which they obtained between the years 1980 and 1984. Captain Nico also has a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained from 1991 to 1993. In addition, Captain Corbijn holds certifications such as the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification and the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) Certification, both obtained from HRCI in 2017 and 2016 respectively.
