Frederik De Bruyn is currently serving as the Regional Business Manager for Industrial Chemicals and CASE & AMA at Azelis since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Member of the Management Committee at Hyve and Business Development Manager at VITO, where responsibilities involved developing commercial strategies for sustainable chemistry and valorizing circular bioeconomy products. As CTO and Co-Founder of Calidris Bio, Frederik De Bruyn led the technical direction for sustainable protein development. Previous positions also include Business Development Manager at Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, Programme Manager at the Belgian Science Policy Office, and a PhD Fellowship at Ghent University, where research focused on metabolic engineering. Frederik De Bruyn holds a Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University.
