Sona Malikova has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sona is currently the Head of Content at Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) since April 2022. Prior to this role, Sona served as the Silk Way Group PR Manager at Silk Way West Airlines from June 2020 to March 2021. Sona also worked as a Senior Copywriter at Moonmilk Baku (McCann Riga) from October 2019 to June 2020. Sona has additional experience as a PR Manager at Sinteks Group of Companies in May to July 2019, and as a Senior Copywriter at DDB Azerbaijan from September 2014 to May 2019. Earlier in their career, they held Senior Copywriter positions at Art Grup from January 2011 to August 2014, and Havas Media Azerbaijan from 2007 to 2009. Sona began their career as a Copywriter at Azerfon LLC in August 2009. Sona also has experience in the media industry, working as an Editor, coordinator at TV show sponsored by "Save the Children" at Media Holding, Lider TV from February 2004 to August 2005, and as an Editor and scenario developer responsible for music TV shows from March 2001 to March 2002.
Sona Malikova attended Baku State University from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained a Master's degree in Philology with a focus on Turkish Language & Literature.
