Akbar Sheriff

Akbar Sheriff currently serves as the Chief Client Success Officer and COO at Aztec Group since November 2025, and also holds the position of Senior Advisor at OnCorps since February 2022. Prior to these roles, Akbar was President at Coremont from July 2022 to November 2025 and acted as Chairman of the Board at State Street Fund Services Ireland Ltd from June 2018 to December 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing fund administration services. Akbar's extensive experience at State Street spanned from January 2013 to January 2022, including roles such as SVP, Global Head of Custody, and SVP, Regional Head of Product, EMEA. Earlier career highlights include positions at Proxymity and Fnality International as a Board Member and Associate Principal at McKinsey & Co. Akbar holds a Master’s degree in Management Sciences and Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering from Northwestern University.
