Daniel Heggøy has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Daniel started their career as a Field Service Technician at Siemens Business Services AS in 2005. Later, they joined the Norwegian Armed Forces as a Sergeant and then as a Second Lieutenant, where they were responsible for monitoring and surveillance of IT infrastructure and data centers on military-grade platforms. In this role, they also managed system acceptance testing, coordinated engineers and vendors, and initiated and completed the cleanup of spyware and trojans on military systems.
In 2013, Daniel moved to Microsoft, where they held the positions of Delivery Excellence Lead and Senior Service Delivery Manager. In these roles, they served as a strategic advisor, selling professional services and providing guidance on Microsoft solutions to commercial customers and partners. Daniel also led improvement projects on process, operation, roles, and knowledge management and acted as a subject-matter expert for IT outsourcing.
From 2017 to 2019, Daniel worked as the Head of Service Delivery at Gemalto, where they were hired to build integration and consulting services in Norway. Daniel led a team delivering products and digital services, ensuring the overall success of the organization, managing the budget, and overseeing vendor management.
In 2019, Daniel joined Thales as the Head of Service Delivery for Digital Identity & Security, where they were responsible for service delivery and managing the digital identity and security sector.
Their most recent role is as the Daglig Leder for Aztek Cloud Trust at Aztek since 2020, where they hold a leadership position and oversees the daily operations of the organization.
Daniel Heggøy's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Luftforsvarets Befalskole. During this time, they studied leadership, medic level II, and infantry skills. Daniel then continued their education at Forsvarets Kompetansesenter for Kommando, Kontroll og Informasjonssystemer from 2008 to 2009, where they focused on Windows Server, Unix, SATCOM, Cisco, and IT Security.
In 2016, Daniel enrolled at Hedmark University College (HH) and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Management degree. Their studies at HH involve leadership, economics, and project management.
In addition to their formal education, Daniel has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they received an Advanced Craft Certificate in Electronics. Daniel also holds certifications in various areas such as operationalizing MITRE ATT&CK, selling to the C-Suite, Microsoft Operations Framework 4.0, building high-performance teams, cloud computing, and Microsoft Azure security concepts.
