Renato Achoa

Renato Achoa is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience in quality, safety, and operations management. Currently serving as the Quality, Safety and Security Director at Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras since June 2012, Renato also holds the position of A320 Captain and TRI. Previous roles include Comandante e Auditor de Qualidade de Operações de Voo and Corporate Quality General Manager, providing expertise in quality assurance and flight operations. Renato's career began at VARIG, where significant roles included Comandante and Copilot from 1991 to 2006, followed by a tenure at Variglog from 2002 to 2012 as Comandante and Flight Standards Chief. Renato has pursued higher education in aviation management and safety at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a law degree from Universidade Paulista, alongside ongoing studies at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
